the-purple-cow

Desi ma pregatesc de mult timp, abia in weekend-ul acesta am apucat sa ascult “The Purple Cow – Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable” a lui Seth Godin.

Morala cartii poate fi extrasa din titlu: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable.

The new P of marketing – Purple Cow (the old P’s: Product, Price, Place (distribution), Promotion)

Stop advertising and start inovating.

Marketing is dead, long live marketing.

The purple cow isn’t cheep, but it works.

Being safe is risky.

If it was easy to become a rock star, everyone would do it.

Boring always leads to faliure. Boring is the most risky strategy.

The opposite of remarclabe is very good. (not bad / mediocre/ pourly done)

Are you making very good stuff? How fast can you stop?

‘Otaku’ – more than a hobby, less than an obsession.

Marketing with a marketer changes the product, not the add.

Find the market niche first, and then make the remarcable product. Not the other way around.

The slogan is now a script that guarantees thet the word of mouth is passed on proprely.

The marketing is the product and vice verssa.

Marketing is the art of inventing the product.

It’s not about the way you say it; it’s what you say.

Things that HAVE To work, rarley do any more.

Think small. (niche)

Conclusion:
1. Don’t be boring
2. Safe is riscky
3. Design rules now
4. Very good is bad!
